Deidre Howard has entrepreneurship in her blood and art in her genes.  She spent her childhood surrounded by art and watched her mother Ann create and run a company called "Profile Press" that cuts silhouettes of children.  Clearly it was meant to be!

She got her degree in design and put her talents to work in the corporate world for 10 years.  It wasn't until she moved to Woodbridge in 1998 that she started to contemplate a career move in a new direction - home.

She started thinking of what she could do to earn money while still staying at home with a busy pair of twins.  After taking note of the fact that there wasn't  many graphic designers working in this area, she started her freelancing business.  Her first client, a start-up company called Town & Village.com kept her busy for several years handling a variety of work that ranged from logo design and brochures to exhibits and their 32 page monthly magazine.  She is currently designing flyers for local businesses.

Her twins, Brian & Christina are 17, and Deidre has found work that suits her family, her schedule and her priorities.  "What I enjoy most about my job is the variety of work I do, the interesting people that I meet, and the reward of seeing a final product produced."

She and her husband, Eric are both native Virginians, born and raised in Arlington and even attended the same high school, though they didn't start dating until after college.  Deidre now has a business and a schedule that can work around her very busy family life.  The new found flexibility is important because she's got an active bunch to keep up with.  They like to kayak, ride horses, camp, ski, and bike.

When she's not chasing her family up a mountain or down a beach, Deidre is turning out the kind of work you will want to see.  Check out what she can do to make you look great!
